kittymux

Documentation

Run coding agents in kitty and always know which one needs you. Install kittymux, learn the tab bar and deck, move panes, and fix what looks wrong.

kittymux turns kitty into a workspace for several coding agents at once. It adds a vertical tab bar that says where each tab is and what its agent is doing, a deck for jumping around, and a few keys that move panes and tabs without leaving the keyboard.

It is a configuration layer, not a daemon. There is no server and nothing listens on a network port. Everything it shows is read locally from your own terminal, and nothing leaves your machine unless you turn on the optional usage quotas.

What these docs promise

Each page says what works today, what is planned, and what has only been tested in a virtual display rather than on a real desktop. The feature status list is the short version.

Try it first

Run kittymux demo from Getting started. It opens an isolated window with its own configuration, so your own kitty setup is never touched.

Install and check

Follow Install and update, then run kittymux doctor. It lists anything that is off and how to fix it.

Learn the bar and the deck

The tab bar explains what each row says. Peek, deck and panel covers the ways to look at a tab you are not in, with the mouse and the keyboard.

Work with agents

Agent status, Notifications and inbox and Launch and find agents cover the daily loop: start, watch, answer, come back.
